Life Onboard

We have been on the boat now for 3 weeks! We’ve done lots of activities, shows, and private events for the world cruisers that I have not posted about. So this is a summary of some of things that have been happening. I plan to include activities in a more timely manner in the future!

An example itinerary for the day. Joe and David have now gotten permission to have space for Bible study on sea days at 8:30 am. That will be added to the schedule.
The pool deck with 2 hot tubs, pool bar, patio grill, and the live band periodically.
Pool lounge chairs located in ☀️ sun or shade.
Captains versus guests cornhole. We asked who is guiding the ship and they said they put a stick in the steering wheel. The captains are very funny.
I found a quiet place in the living room to do some reading. One area is a library for reading and the other side has tables for puzzles and card games. The middle of the living room has a stage, bar, and is used for trivia.
This is the living room today when they streamed the NFL playoff games. We had so much food!
The cabaret room where lectures and shows take place.
The den is a busy place where the bar opens at 5:00pm and people hang out before and after dinner. This is where we met up with friends before dinner. Often there is a pianists or soloist at 8:00pm.
Each 2 week segment includes an Azamazing event for the whole ship, usually on shore at a special event center.
Azamazing evening entertainment by locals playing on handmade instruments in Quayquil, Ecuador.
Exclusive rum tasting for World cruisers in the Atlas Bar. We also had a pisco sour tasting with several types of brandy.
Dinner with the cruise director, Emily and world cruise director, Abby.
This was our turn as World Cruisers to eat dinner with Captain Alex and the hotel administrator, Tomasz. I asked him what a hotel administrator does and he said he is in charge of everything except the navigation of the ship! The ship is a floating hotel.

Gelato is offered everyday in the buffet as well as the restaurant. This is frozen yogurt.

We go to the gym on sea days. We do a lot of walking on excursion days.
This is what I wanted to know before I came. Yes! They do have plenty of light weights as well as the larger ones.
Classes are offered often in the morning. It varies from stretching, yoga, abs, Pilates, etc. I’m trying them all to see if any of them would be helpful. I had read someone recommended bringing your own yoga mat. I totally understand now. I may buy one when we get to Australia. The mats are very worn and difficult to clean. Updates are coming next year, so surely yoga mats are on the list. This picture shows spinner bikes. I think spinner bikes are outdated and should be replaced by modern exercise bikes. They only have one of the modern exercise bikes and there’s always a wait for it.
